Save time, reduce fuel (and potentially toll) costs, promote sustainability, and possibly meet a new best friend.
The next time you’re driving to work, look around at all the people heading the same way at the same time. It might just be your neighbor in the car next to you. So why not reap the rewards of sharing the trip?
Everyone knows carpooling saves gas money. But what may come as a surprise is how easy it is with Every Commute Counts. We maintain a list of people in the Kentuckiana region who have registered with us and are interested in ridesharing (and money-saving and planet-saving). Just register with us to get a list of others who live and work near you and have similar work schedules. Then simply contact potential rideshare partners to make arrangements such as who will drive, which days, and pick-up and drop-off points. It’s that easy – and it’s FREE. Even if you carpool only a couple of days a week, you’ll see the savings add up. So cut down on costs, reduce your carbon footprint, and maybe even make a new friend.
We understand emergencies happen. That’s why Every Commute Counts offers the Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program as a safety net for our registered ridesharing commuters. If you or your carpool partner has an emergency, such as a family illness or mandatory overtime, you can get reimbursed 100% of the fare for a bus, cab, or transportation network’s (such as Uber or Lyft) ride back to your home or car.
Learn more about ERH in the Every Commute Counts FAQs.
